Women's Khussa in Pakistan
Khussa is a traditional flat shoe with a closed, pointed or rounded toe and no heel, worn across Pakistan with eastern outfits. Our collection covers everyday khussa and leather khussa in sizes 36 to 42, suitable for daily wear as well as Eid and weddings.
Khussa is one of the few shoes that works for a family wedding and a trip to the market in the same week. There is no heel to manage, no break-in period, and the flat construction means you can stand through a long function without regretting it. This page covers the styles we carry, how to size them properly, and how to make a pair last past one wedding season.
Types of Khussa in This Collection
Everyday Khussa
Our standard khussa uses a synthetic upper on a flat sole, made for regular wear rather than occasional use. These are light, flexible, and comfortable from the first wear.
This is the pair you keep by the door through wedding season and Ramadan, when you are in and out of the house in eastern clothes several times a week. They handle regular use without the care and caution a leather pair needs.
Leather Khussa
Our leather khussa uses a genuine leather upper with visible grain and texture. Leather is the traditional material for khussa, and it behaves differently from synthetic in one important way: it moulds to your foot over the first few wears and then stays that way.
That makes leather the better choice if you want one pair that fits properly for years rather than a pair that fits the same on day one and day two hundred. It also holds a richer finish under indoor lighting, which shows at evening functions.
Embroidered Khussa
Some styles in the collection carry embroidered detailing on the upper, which is what most people picture when they think of khussa. The embroidery adds texture and catches light, making these the natural pick for weddings, Eid, and mehndi functions.
Embroidered uppers need slightly more care than plain ones. Keep them away from water and store them where the threadwork is not being crushed.
How to Style Khussa
With shalwar kameez. The default pairing and the one khussa were made for. A flat closed shoe keeps the line of the trousers clean, whereas a heel breaks it.
With a kurti and trousers. Works for daily wear and office. Keep the khussa plainer if the kurti is heavily printed.
With jeans. Increasingly common, and it looks deliberate rather than mismatched. Straight or wide-leg jeans suit khussa better than skinny fits, which crowd the pointed toe.
For weddings and Eid. Embroidered or metallic-finish khussa. If your outfit is already heavily worked, a plainer khussa keeps the look balanced.
Pair with women's shalwar suits or kurtis, and finish the look with jewellery sets.
